Thank you to all those groups and individuals who have helped us to raise funds by participating in our fundraising events and organizing their own fundraisers on behalf of TSJT.
As well as the events below, our dedicated trustees and volunteers attend charity markets and fairs, and supermarket collections on a monthly basis throughout the year.
Shaw charity market - 5th July, 2009
Yet another good turn out for the annual shaw charity market and fair on Sunday. Fun as usual was had by all on this gloriously sun filled day. Thank you to all those who helped us to raise more funds to continue our work.
The Great Manchester Run, 2009
This year another 15 runners including the famous Oldham Athletic Mascot - Chaddy the owl. The day was a huge success, so thank you to all those who ran and raised much needed funds to help us continue our work. See the photo gallery for pics!
Yorkshire Day, 2008
A glorious day of fun and fundraising was held in Uppermill to celebrate Saddleworth's rich history. Dobcross band came out in force to entertain our supporters along with displays from local businessess featuring shire horses, birds of prey to sheep shearing. We enjoyed a successful fundraising day and are looking forward to next years event. See our gallery for photograhs.
December 2007- Saddleworth Flea Market:
Hopefully the first of many Flea Markets! TSJT enjoyed a day of running a café in the bust tourist spot of Uppermill, raising a fantastic £1115. We are looking forward to hosting this event again in July 2008.

The Saddleworth Beer walk, a highlight in the Saddleworth Social Calendar raised £276.
Great Manchester Run:
An increasingly popular event this year with over 25 runners raising over £3500. Thank you to all those who took part.
Charity Markets:
Shaw Charity Markets and Crompton Country fair have raised £1100.

10 June 2006 - The Saddleworth Beer Walk
As the sun bore down, a team of 30 walkers and 'Chitty Bang Bang' proudly finished the 13 mile beer trail in the allotted time against all odds!
June 2006 - Another annual Whit Friday Collection on our behalf raised £202.
21 May 2006 - The Great Manchester Run
In this years event, 25 runners took on the 10Km challenge. Thanks to all those who took part in the pouring rain!
February 2006 – one of our dedicated volunteers – Pauline, participated in a sponsored Inca Trail Trek in Peru raising a fantastic and well deserved £629.00.
4 December 2005 - 'Samantha's Party'
Another family fun day with entertainment from 'Morgan' and Radio Revolutions Big Al. Also featuring auction, raffle and children's face painting amongst other things.
17 June 2005 - 'The Saddleworth Group of Artists' Exhibition
This evening saw the works of Saddleworth's finest artists. for each sale made on the night, 'The Samantha Jones Trust' received 25% of the sale price. Thank you to those who attended.
22 May 2005 - The Great Manchester Run
Not 24 hours after the Saddleworth Beer Walk, 3 Trustees along with 13 runners, ran the 10K Great Manchester Run. Following months of training, the group raised over £3000! Keith, Lorraine and Zoë cross the line!
21 May 2005 - The Saddleworth Beer walk
After many a week preparation the 'Bull' was raring to undertake the 13 mile beer swigging challenge around Saddleworth's most spectacular sites. the day was yet again, a wonderful success and despite a few downpours, our team of 18 raised over £1000!
3 May 2005 - 'QUIZZED OUT'
The Grey Hound Public house, Royton, held a 10 week quiz tournament in which £450 was raised.
10 April 2005 - Our first charity market
After 'Pulse Electronics' donated a wealth of new goods ranging from DVD's to foot and hair care products, we entered the market scene selling new quality items at low prices. since our first outing we attend markets on a monthly basis.
3 April 2005 - Afternoon of family entertainment
Another afternoon of family entertainment was held to celebrate our 6 months of operation. The day was a huge success, with raffles, auctions, face painting, lucky dips and once again, performances from local artists - The Duffy Twins, Wild & Wicked, Greg Rainey & The Feeling and ‘for a one night only' performance - ‘Beefcake'.
Thanks also to Radio Revolutions' Big Al & Sarah Mills.
Coffee mornings are held monthly in the Saddleworth area, and have proved very successful to date. Thank you to all those who attended.
'Christmas Cheer' - The Old Original public house, Scouthead, made a surprise donation of £413, raised from a Christmas soft toy raffle. (Featured at top)
During her short life, Samantha enjoyed being a member of Dobcross Youth Band, and we have been fortunate enough to secure their support in our endeavours. To date they have raised £450 through various concerts and collections. We hope to engage their continuing support throughout the coming year and that of other Saddleworth Brass Bands.
